Technician's Note
One of the features we particularly like about the EcoVac is the Variable Frequency Drive. Instead of the motor simply running at the same output throughout the day, the system responds to demand. When more suction is needed, motor output increases; when demand drops, the system can reduce output.
That means the vacuum isn't unnecessarily operating at full output when the practice doesn't need it. In addition to reducing electricity use, in our service experience, we have also seen fewer failures with this type of demand-responsive operation.
Proper sizing still matters. We recommend selecting a vacuum system based on the number of simultaneous users, not simply the total number of operatories, to maintain consistent suction during your busiest clinical hours.
