Product Overview
Owandy Opteo 2 Digital Intraoral Sensor
Instant digital images. Exceptional detail. Built for everyday dentistry.
The Owandy Opteo 2 is a next-generation digital intraoral sensor designed to deliver high-definition images immediately after exposure. With exceptional image clarity, durable construction, and three sensor sizes—including the unique Size 1.5—the Opteo 2 helps practices capture diagnostic images efficiently while improving patient comfort.
Featuring 18.5 μm resolution, Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) technology, and Always On Technology, the Opteo 2 produces consistent image quality across a broad range of exposure settings while eliminating warm-up time between patients. Its slim, waterproof design and rounded edges make positioning easier for both clinicians and patients.
The exclusive Size 1.5 sensor offers an excellent balance between traditional Size 1 and Size 2 sensors. It is especially well suited for bitewing radiographs by allowing multiple teeth to be captured comfortably in a single image while reducing gag reflex for many patients.
Compatible with most major dental imaging and practice management software, the Opteo 2 integrates easily into existing digital workflows.
When you purchase through North Star Dental Services, we'll help determine whether a direct digital sensor or a PSP system best fits your practice, provide installation assistance, and continue supporting your imaging equipment long after the sale.

Technician's Note
Digital sensors provide immediate image capture, making them an excellent choice for practices that value speed and efficiency. One feature we especially like on the Opteo 2 is the Size 1.5 option—it offers a nice balance between patient comfort and image coverage. If you're deciding between a direct sensor and a PSP scanner, we'd be happy to explain the advantages of each based on how your practice works.
